>> Speech Therapy:

Our Speech Therapists work with children on much more than correctly pronouncing words. We include non-verbal communication, conversational skills, concept skills and useful speech; knowing when and how to use certain phrases such as "good morning." Most of our therapists are certified in ASL (American Sign Language).

>> Music Therapy:

This non-verbal, non-threatening form of communication has proven to be very positive for Autistic children. Our therapist's focus not only on keeping the childs attitude upbeat, but they encourage eye contact and concentration. These undemanding tasks may be brought about in a game of passing a ball back and forth.
Individual/Private and Group sessions are available. A behavior therapist will be in class to help assist the child through Group Music.

>> Occupational Therapy:

We teach occupational therapy through a friendship circle. Friendship circle has been developed around group sessions or outtings with much interaction between students and therapists. For instance, this past Halloween (Oct. 31, 2006), Holland Center children went "Trick or Treating" to Excelsior merchants.
Occupational therapy building group is taught by Tara Bertone, SLP and is for children of ages 8-10.
